Hunting Group

Hunting Group automatically process incoming calls received by a single phone number by distributing them among a group of users or agents. From this page, you can also:

To configure Hunting Group, click on "Group Service" tab and then choose "Hunting Group". Select the hunt group name on the left navigation. If this group service is not subscribed, the option would not be available.

Maxis

The meaning of the fields are:

Field Description
Group The hunt group name can be edited here.
Calling Line ID Name The calling line Id first and last name can be edited here.
Group Pilot Number Display the phone number used by this Hunt Group for making and receiving calls.
Extension Display the extension number used by this Hunt Group for making and receiving calls.
Language Select the language in which service-specific messages are played during calls to the hunt group.
Group Policy
  • Regular - Sends incoming calls to the next available user in the hunt group.
  • Circular - Sends incoming calls to users according to their position in a list. After a call has been sent to the last user on the list, the next call is sent to the user at the top of the list.
  • Simultaneous - Sends incoming calls to all user numbers at the same time. Once the call has been answered, the remaining calls to other users are released.
Available / Assigned Members Assign Users to the Hunt Group using the multiple selects. You can also order the users in the assigned members for use in circular distribution policy.

Once the changes are confirmed, press "Save" to update to the System.
